Why do you need to build your email list right now?

Every single day things are changing.
For example, today we found out that we had to shut temporally close our office for the next two weeks.
Thankfully, we've built an email list with our clients. In about 10 minutes we crafted an email to our clients letting them know how to communicate with us and how we could continue to serve them virtually.
10 minutes was simple.
It was easy.
There was no stress.
But, what if we wouldn't have taken the time to build our email list of clients and prospects? What if we didn't take the time to think about running our business virtually?
It's at times like this that we all need to be able to clearly and concisely communicate with the people who are counting on us.
Maybe you already have an email list. Great. Do you email them regularly? Are you adding value to them through useful and timely content, or not?
